President Casey Scott called the meeting to order at 7:07 PM. There
were 25 in attendance.

Casey asked Ray Peterson to read the Minutes of November 2006. The minutes were read and approved.

Casey read the Minutes of our Christmas Party held December 7th at the Golden Corral. Minutes were approved as read.

Casey opened to the floor, discussion for a possible dues increase. The
following Club Members made their personal input on what they felt would be appropriate, Bill Hipp, Ted Taylor, Al Martin, Virgil Weis, Dennis Sherwood, Jerry Law, Dave Alldredge, Mike Jensen, Ken Fiala, and Bert Mitchell. After a good discussion Al Martin made a motion to leave the dues at $25.00. Jerry Law made a second and the motion passed by the members present.

Eddie Chandler reported that his son-in-law works for a company that applies for grants for non-profit organizations; he thought that this could be a great possibility for our Club to receive funds for the Sand Hollow project. Dan Walters made a motion that Eddie Chandler pursue with a grant application process. Second was made by Jerry Law. The motion was approved.

Ken Tolman gave a quick report on the Mesquite flying field. He told about their success on New Years Day gathering, in which they are doing the best they can with what resources and total Club members they have.

Casey asked LaRonzo Lott to give the Club members an update on Dave Thompson’s condition. He reported that Dave had to have to metal rods installed on both sides of his neck that extended into his back. He also had three broken ribs which resulted in a collapsed lung. LaRonzo stated that Dave would probably be in the hospital for about three months.

It was mentioned that Al Martin had given to Eddie Chandler an AT-6 ARF to construct for our Presidents Day Fly-in in February. Last year this public drawing was a great success for the Club.
