Minutes of Remote Possibilities RC Club
November 2, 2006

Mike Jensen called the meeting to order at 7:05 PM.

There were 25 Members in attendance.

Mike asked Dennis Church to give us a Treasures report. Dennis reported that we had $26,378.47 in our Club account.

Mike Jensen introduced Mike Bowler as a visitor, in which he will sign up as new member for the 2007 season.

Mike Jensen reported on cost estimates received from Interstate Rock located in Hurricane, and through Dennis Church’s employer. Mike also mentions that he met with the Mayor (Dan McArthur) concerning financial help, and he reported that he would help where he could.

Bill Hipp gave a complete break down on cost comparisons that were received from Interstate Rock and Dennis Church’s employer. That information is included with these minutes.

It was reported that AMA would help financially at the rate of 10% annually of the total costs of construction.

It was also discussed about using qualified help for heavy equipment during field construction. Dennis Church said that he would check on the possibility of leasing or renting heavy equipment.

Mike Jensen talked about the Tucson Shootout and how the City got involved and helped with the construction with the flying site. It was also mentioned that IMAC could be looking for a new flying location.

Casey Scott our new President for the 2007 season, said that the February Fly-in would take place and volunteers would be needed at the gate, impound, chuck wagon, and the flight packs. Doug Prettyman said he would help at the gate; Virgil Weis would help with the flight packets, and Stan Taylor said he would help with pilot registration. Dr Al Martin said that he would donate a P-51A or P-51D Mustang for the drawing, and Eddie Chandler would help with the construction of the model. A $5.00 gate fee was discussed.

Mike Jensen talked about raising the Pilot fee from $20 to $25 dollars no objection was made. Dennis Sherwood suggested that we have a donation box to help with our field construction.

Mike Jensen said that the flying field needed to be swept off and that he would talk to Michael Huston about helping. Ray Peterson said that he new a City employee that might be able to help with the cleaning.

Michael Jensen adjourned the meeting at 8:00PM
